Since March of 2015 members of the St. Catharines Street Crime Unit have been investigating a Niagara Street residence for selling drugs. As a result of the investigation, on Wednesday April 15, 2015 police obtained a search warrant to enter and search the same residence. At approximately 5:25 pm the warrant was executed and 4 males were arrested.
According to police, charged with 1 count of Possession of a Controlled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking, and 1 count of Possession of the Proceeds of Crime, are 22-year-old Daniel Robinson, 20-year-old Ismael Mare, and 20-year-old Jamol Archer all of Toronto. Also charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking is 37-year-old Jamie Alton.
The three males from Toronto will be attending for a bail hearing on Thursday April 16th, 2015 at the St. Catharines court house. Alton was subsequently released from custody and will return to court in May to answer to these charges. In total police seized $4,880.00 in cocaine, and $9795.00 in cash.
