On Friday December 26, 2014 at approximately 2am, members of the Niagara Regional Police Service and Fort Erie Fire Department responded to a car fire at Gonders Flats on the Niagara River Parkway in Fort Erie.
The vehicle, a 2000 4 door silver Nissan Maxima was destroyed as a result of the fire and 49 year old Alexander Fraser of Niagara Falls, the identified registered owner could not be located at which time a missing persons investigation began.
Police say the investigation revealed grounds to believe Alexander Fraser’s disappearance was due to foul play and on January 4, 2015, 20 year old Victoria Harvey, of Niagara Falls was arrested and charged with the alleged offence of 1st Degree Murder. Harvey appeared at a bail hearing on January 5, 2015 in St. Catharines, Ontario.
On January 5, 2015 the following persons were arrested and charged with the alleged offence of the 1st Degree Murder of Alexander Fraser:
Brad MacGarvie, 25 years old of Niagara Falls and Duran Wilson, 29 years old of Niagara Falls
The investigation revealed that Alexander Fraser was known to all the accused, and had been targeted by the charged persons.
MacGarvie, and Wilson will appear for a bail hearing at 59 Church St. in St. Catharines on January 6, 2015.
The search for the remains’ of Alexander Fraser is continuing as the investigation continues and further arrests are anticipated.
