Niagara Regional Police say three people have been arrested after a break and enter to a commercial building in Niagara Falls.
On June 16, 2021 at approximately 2:15AM, officers responded to a break and enter alarm at a business on Stanley Avenue near Kitchener Street in Niagara Falls.
The officer’s initial investigation found that unknown suspects had climbed onto the roof. The suspects caused damage to the roof and were able to get inside the store. Once inside the store the suspects stole a significant amount of merchandise, primarily being watches. The estimated value of the stolen merchandise is $30,000. The suspects then fled from the scene prior to the officer’s arrival.
Detectives from the Crime Unit were assigned to the investigation. As a result of the investigation detectives were able to identity three suspects in relation to the break and enter.
On June 23, 2021 all three suspects were arrested. Following the arrests detectives were granted a search warrant for an Ottawa Avenue home in Niagara Falls. Property related to the break and enter was located inside the home.
The NRP have charged 20 year old Chase Brian Belward of no fixed address, 49 year old Denise Charmaine Taylor of Niagara Falls, and 40 year old Joseph Francis Rudgene of Niagara Falls with break and enter and committing theft.
