Well there’s good news and bad news when it comes to garbage collection in niagara…
The bad news is some folks are still awaiting normal collection and trash collecting company Emterra say it may be until the end of the week before they are finally caught up collecting holiday trash.
The good news? Emterra is hiring! Emterra Environmental is actively recruiting additional temporary and full-time workers to address staffing issues and are reaching out other jurisdictions to augment their workforce when operations permit. They have a job fair set for Thursday from 3 to 7 p.m. at the Welland Job Gym on East Main. For more information click HERE.
Anyone who still has uncollected bins is asked to call the Region’s Waste Info-Line at 905-356-4141 or 1-800-594-5542, Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. In a note on the Region’s website it says: The Region sincerely apologizes for any inconvenience this may cause and appreciates your patience.
