Air Canada is celebrating a tentative deal with its pilots by offering 25% off new bookings and 2,500 bonus Aeroplan points. This comes as a thank you to customers who were worried about a potential strike.
On Sunday, Canadians learned that the airline reached an agreement with the union representing over 5,200 pilots, avoiding a strike that could have started on Wednesday.
Customers who changed their flights due to the strike threat can now switch back to their original flights at no extra cost, if space is available.
The deal prevents disruptions for the 670 daily flights operated by Air Canada and Air Canada Rouge, affecting over 110,000 passengers.
The 25% discount is available until 11:59 a.m. on Wednesday for trips booked up to May 31, 2024. Plus, Air Canada will surprise customers at select airports with Aeroplan points, lounge vouchers, snacks, swag, and more.
