Good news as the Fort Erie Urgent Care Centre re-opens starting Feb. 23, 2022 at 8 a.m.
Lynn Guerriero, Niagara Health President and CEO said that: “We are now in a position to safely redeploy our UCC staff and physicians back to the Fort Erie Site.”
In early January, Niagara Health made the difficult decision to temporarily close the Fort Erie Urgent Care Centre to redeploy our emergency-trained staff and physicians to our Emergency Departments where they were most needed.
Dr. Johan Viljoen, Chief of Staff commented: “We look forward to welcoming patients at the Fort Erie Urgent Care Centre once again.”
Niagara Health also wants to remind everyone that that there are different levels of care available in Niagara depending on their needs. Primary Care should be the first point of care. This includes family doctors’ offices, walk-in clinics, nurse practitioner clinics, community health centres and other healthcare options.
