What started out as a simple closet construction in a new home, turned into a complete transformation of many rooms by Closets By Design Niagara for a local couple who had just purchased a new build. Here is their story!

Wendy and Wayne loved their beautiful new bungalow, but the basement was unfinished and they decided NOW was the best time to tackle that project along with incorporating his and her walk in closet configuration in the space.

Says Wendy,” I called Closets By Design Niagara and the designer Carolynn not only had terrific ideas for creating a closet, but she was able to introduce the great feature of expanding the laundry space with a workstation area beside the closet which was so convenient. Also, the fact that she was able to work seamlessly with the builder who was there doing the rest of the work was incredible. Together they figured out where walls would go, lighting, you name it.”

The vibrant red counter topped laundry hamper and storage space was the design note that not only made things handy but blended beautifully with the rest of the home’s modern decor.

With the basement completed to satisfaction, Wayne began thinking about the garage tiles he had seen while visiting the Closets By Design Showroom for the initial project.

“I’m a huge fan of Jay Leno’s Garage and I couldn’t believe that they had the same Swiss Tiles that he raved about on his program that were impervious to acids, oils and all this sort of stuff, plus they looked a lot better than the original garage floor in our home so I decided to treat myself because it’s an area that I spend a lot of time in!”

“Wendy is a little height challenged”, chuckles Wayne, so the pantry made it so much easier for her to reach things than in the kitchen cupboards that came with the home and we could customize them to her liking.”
