Niagara Regional Police have laid impaired driving charges after a fatal head on collision in Niagara-on-the-Lake.
On July 29, 2020, emergency personnel were called to the scene at Niagara Stone Road at Eastchester Avenue where police determined a Chevrolet Caprice that was headed northwest on Niagara Stone Road lost control and collided with a Porsche being driven in the opposite direction.
The 60 year old woman in the Porsche was killed and pronounced dead at the scene and the male driver of the other vehicle was taken to hospital with serious injuries.
On Tuesday police went to a Niagara-on-the-Lake home where they met with the driver of the Chevrolet Caprice, 32 year old Aubrey Blake Clements and arrested and charged him with the alleged criminal offences of impaired driving causing death, dangerous driving causing death and possession of a Schedule I substance.
