Police say a 17-year-old boy has died after a two-vehicle crash in Welland that sent three others to the hospital early Friday evening.
Officers say it happened at approximately 6:35 pm on Friday November 1, in the area of Moyer Rd and Grassy Brook Road.
Investigation has revealed two vehicles, a 2008 Dodge Caliber and a 2016 Honda Civic were involved in the accident.
The 17 year old male was pronounced deceased at the scene. A 17 year old female passenger was airlifted to an out-of-town hospital for treatment of life threatening injuries. Two other occupants of the vehicle, a 25 year old female and a 20 year old male were transported to a local hospital for treatment of minor injuries.
The 20 year old male driver of the Civic was not physically injured.
Detectives with the Collision Reconstruction Unit continue to investigate this collision. At this time, no charges have been laid.
