There is always lots going on at the Niagara SPCA and the Niagara Falls Humane Society! (Main picture is sweet Adora who is us for adoption now at the Seaway Mall in Welland).
We’d like to thank all the vendors, performers and supporters who came out for Bow Wow and Chow last weekend. It was a great day-animals were adopted, money was raised and information was shared. It always touches my heart to see people come out to support our events.
Your compassion and generosity to the animals make it possible for the Niagara SPCA and Humane Society to continue providing urgently needed care and shelter for thousands of animals suffering from injury, abuse or neglect each year in Ontario.
Below, Ginger, up for adoption now!
We have been around since before 1937, did you know that? In our role as a charity, we provide a variety of mission-based programs and resources focused on providing for animal welfare, including community-based sheltering, shelter health & animal wellness, high-volume spay/neuter services, animal rescue and relief, animal advocacy, Indigenous partnership programs, humane education and animal protection services.
Below, Lovely Winslet is also looking for a home at the Niagara Falls Humane Society. Could it be yours?
Working together we can make a difference in the lives of countless animals in need. There are so many ways you can help, or get involved. Have you considered volunteering, or fostering? If you don’t have time to volunteer, how about hosting a fundraising event? Or find one of our events-the information is on our websites and facebook pages-and come and have some fun while supporting our work.
There are a variety of ways to donate. Check out our wish list, it’s on our websites, www.wellandspca.com and www.nfhs.ca. We are always in need of animal supplies. You can donate online, and can even set up a monthly automatic donation. You can leave a gift for the animals in your will, make a tribute donation for a loved one, you can even donate an old car!
Gala 2019 is coming up on November 2. This is our most important annual fundraiser, and by attending you are helping us achieve our goals for animals needing our care. Join us for a full evening of medieval –themed fun, all to support the homeless animals in our communities. There will be live and silent auctions, feasting, shopping, music, games and surprises. The event is held at the beautiful Greg Frewin theatre. Get dressed up and come out for a fantastic evening.
Earlybird tickets are on sale until October 11, for $65. This year we can provide tables for 4, 6, 8 or 10 people. All tickets purchased by Oct. 11 will be entered into a draw. Greg Frewin has generously provided an earlybird prize for his Wild Magic Show, including a Level 1 booth and four tickets for dinner and the show. Tickets are available through the Greg Frewin Theatre box office, or click the link on our websites, www.nfhs.ca or wellandspca.com, or contact me for your tickets.
Help us work on a future where all Ontarians respect and appreciate animals, and where Ontario has no homeless animals and no animal abuse. Volunteer, donate, participate, support. You can make a difference.
