On August 2, 2019, at approximately 7:33 P.M., police say officers were called to an address on Willoughby Drive, in Niagara Falls, in response to a shooting.
Niagara Regional Police Service (NRPS), along with Detectives from the Criminal Investigation Branch attended the scene and as a result of the investigation, the suspect has been identified as David Joseph who is currently wanted for the following offences:
– Discharge Firearm with Intent to Wound / Endanger Life Section 244(1) CC
– Pointing a Firearm Section 87(1) CC
– Careless Use of a Firearm Section 86(1) CC
– Possession of a Firearm Contrary to a Prohibition Order Section 117.01(1) CC
Joseph’s whereabouts are unknown at this time. He was last seen operating a 2012 black Fiat, bearing Ontario licence plate #CJKL 632. It is believed that one or more of the vehicle’s windows received damaged. He is believed to be armed and dangerous; therefore, members of the public should not approach JOSEPH and are urged to call 9-1-1 if he is observed.
No one was injured as a result of this incident.
This incident is believed to be an isolated matter.
