At approximately 3:15 on Sunday March 3, police say they were called to a residence in the area of Maple Street and 3rd Ave in the city of Niagara Falls following an altercation.
When they got there they found two men with injuries. One of them was airlifted to an out-of-town hospital for treatment of serious injuries resulting from a stab wound and the other was taken to hospital for treatment and charged.
54 year old Mark Skinner of Niagara Falls is facing the following alleged charges:
– Aggravated Assault
– 2 counts of Disarm Police Officer
– Assault to Resist Arrest
Skinner is currently being held in custody pending a bail hearing on Monday March 4, 2019 at the Robert S.K. Welch Courthouse in the City of St. Catharines.
As a result of injuries sustained during the arrest of the suspect, the Province’s Special Investigations Unit is involved.
