At approximately 2:35 a.m. this morning, the Niagara Regional Police Service, the Niagara Emergency Medical Services and Fire Services from Niagara On The Lake as well as Niagara Falls responded to a report of a motorcycle collision on Niagara River Parkway at the Sir Adam Beck Hydroelectric Generating Station in Niagara Falls.
Initial investigation revealed that a Yamaha R6 motorcycle was being driven north bound on Niagara River Parkway when the 20 year-old male resident of Niagara Falls lost control of the vehicle in a curve and left the roadway. The rider was thrown from the motorcycle and suffered fatal injuries. A 25-year-old female passenger from Niagara Falls suffered serious injuries and was transported to a local hospital in stable condition.
This collision remains under investigation by the Coroner’s Office, Niagara Parks Police Service and Detectives of the Niagara Regional Police Services Collision Reconstruction Unit.
