Niagara Regional Police say that yesterday at approximately 7:00 p.m. they responded along with the Niagara Emergency Medical Services and Fire Services to a report of a motorcycle collision on Twenty Mile Road east of Silverdale Road in the Town of Lincoln.
Initial investigation revealed that a 1994 Honda motorcycle was being driven east bound on Twenty Mile Road when the 77 year-old male resident of Thorold lost control of the vehicle in a curve and left the roadway. The rider was thrown from the motorcycle and suffered life threatening injuries. He was transported to a local hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries.
This collision remains under investigation by Detectives of the Niagara Regional Police Services Collision Reconstruction Unit.
