The Ministry of Transportation confirming the WB lanes of the Thorold tunnel have re-opened.
It was closed last Friday after a flat bed truck carrying an excavator scraped the walls and roof of the tunnel causing extensive damage that needed repairs. The driver of the truck has been charged with having an over-height load. The vertical clearance for the tunnel is 4.75 metres.
