Police say that on Sunday March 26, before 4 am, members of the Thorold Fire Department, Emergency Medical Services and the Niagara Regional Police Service responded to Tupper Drive near Sullivan Avenue in the City of Thorold for reports of a vehicle fire.
When they got there, they found a vehicle parked along the side of the roadway fully engulfed in flames. After the fire was extinguished the body of a deceased male was located inside of the vehicle.
Members of the 1 District Detective Office subsequently continued the investigation along with members of the Forensic Services Unit and the Office of the Fire Marshal. Investigation into this tragic incident has revealed no criminally suspicious circumstances.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation by the Office of the Fire Marshall.
