Police say in February Niagara Regional Police commenced an investigation into a commercial break and enter in the area of Division St and Burgar St in Welland.
On March 13, 2017 Police responded to a garage/shed fire at 44 Albert St at the corner of Kent in the city of Welland On. investigation revealed that a female was observed leaving this fire. Although unrelated the female in the fire was linked to the break and enter and she was identified as Chantelle Dufour.
Chantelle Dufour is charged with one count of Break and Enter and one count of Arson as a result of the investigations.The whereabouts of Dufour at the time of this release is unknown and a warrant has been sought for her arrest.
