At approximately 11:20 p.m. yesterday evening, police say the Niagara Falls Fire Service, along with the Niagara Emergency Medical Services and the Niagara Regional Police Service responded to reports of a fail to remain collision involving a pedestrian on Lundy’s Lane east of Corwin Avenue in the City of Niagara Falls, within the Regional Municipality of Niagara, Ontario.
Initial investigation revealed a westbound vehicle left the north edge of roadway and struck a 29-year-old male from Oshweken, Ontario. The pedestrian was airlifted to an out of region trauma centre and is in stable condition at this time.
The suspect vehicle failed to stop at the scene of the collision and was last seen westbound on Lundy’s Lane. Updates will be released as information becomes available.
This incident remains under investigation by Detectives of the Collision Reconstruction Unit with the assistance of investigators from the Forensic Services Unit, Major Crime Unit and #2 District Criminal Investigation Branch.
