Detectives from the Niagara Regional Police in 3 District have continued their investigation into a large scale theft of batteries in the city of Welland which they say took place between November 1st and December 3rd.
On December 9th, the investigation lead to the arrest of 18 year old Joshua NUZIATO of Welland. He is charged with Possession of Stolen Property and Breach of Probation and is scheduled to appear in Welland Court at a later date.
Police have also recovered more of the stolen batteries and the investigation will continue as it is believed at least 2 more suspects are involved.
