Police say that shortly after 9:30 am on Friday, November 4, 2016 the Niagara Regional Police Service responded to an area off the Waterfront Trail in Spring Gardens Park, located on the shores of Lake Ontario between Geneva Street and Vine Street in St. Catharines.
A male body was recovered from the lake by members of the Underwater Search and Recovery Unit. The circumstances of the male’s death are under investigation by the #1 District Detective Office with assistance from the Forensic Services Unit, and in cooperation with the Office of the Chief Coroner.
