Port Dalhousie was the scene today and yesterday for the St. Catharines Wing Fest, an event that united wing lovers for a grand feast and local restaurants who served up the food all for a great cause! All of the proceeds from the weekend festival go to Community Care of St. Catharines and Thorold.
A huge crowd took advantage of the great weather this afternoon to chow down…
Seven restaurants got involved in the eats, competing for the best wings title. Competitors included: Cat’s Caboose, Kully’s Original Sports Bar, The Manhattan Bar & Grill, Redline BBQ Catering, Roberto’s Pizza Passion, Romby’s Smokehouse Tavern, and Wrigley’s Sports Bar & Lounge.
Here from Manhattan Bar and Grill a little Maui Wowie sauce gets served up with those wings for a little variety!
The gals from Kulley’s Bar and Grill were all smiles as they served up the goodies…

With flavours this good…who says you only have to try one kind??!!
Awesome volunteers played a huge part in ensuring everyone had a great time and the event ran smoothly!
No complaints here…
Music and beer from Lock Street Brewing Co. completed the event as did the bouncy castles for kids and even a RE/MAX hot air balloon ride which took passengers 45 metres into the air on a tethered rope.
The Wing Fest event which was organized by a group of professionals from across the city, including Karl Vanderkuip, a RE/MAX broker and a board member for Community Care runs through until 6 pm tonight.
