Niagara Falls man Joe Reinhart has been missing since Tuesday with his empty boat having washed ashore in the Wanakah Beach area of Hamburg, N.Y.
Police say Reinhart, 37 is described as an avid fisherman and was believed to have launched his boat from the Crystal Beach boat ramp in Fort Erie at approximately 5:30am on the morning of July 26, 2016. His trailer and truck were located in the parking lot.
Reinhart often fished alone and was not a strong swimmer.
Reinhart’s current whereabouts remains unknown. The search for Reinhart on Lake Erie is ongoing. Anyone with information is asked to contact the 2 District Niagara Falls detective office at 905-688-4111 ext 2200.
