According to police, on Monday March 21st, 2016 members of the Niagara Regional Police Service executed a search warrant at 1651 Lakeshore Road, Niagara On The Lake for the second time since September,2015. This location is the site of a medical marihuana growing operation. During the September search warrant 11 people were arrested by Police, and none of the actual licence holders were present during this time.
Police continued their investigation and learned that one of the licence holders was unaware that their medical marihuana licence was being used at this location, and they had never benefited from any use of marihuana grown at this location. As a result of this information Police believed that the persons responsible for growing marihuana at this location were doing so unlawfully.
On March 21st, members of the Guns , Gangs, and Grows Unit, Morality Unit, PAVIS Unit and Uniform officers executed the search warrant. Police located four males inside the address and took them all into custody without incident.
Charged with Unlawful Production of a Schedule 2 Controlled Substance is 64-year-old Xiu Min LIN, 59-year-old Jin Seng LIN, 56-year-old Minh Fai TONG, and 40-year-old Zeng Qiang WANG. All four males were held in custody pending a bail hearing. Again as Police executed this search warrant, none of the actual medical marihuana licence holders were present.
Police seized 390 marihuana plants, with an estimated street value of $390,000.00. Police are continuing their investigation and encourage any persons with association to this location to contact Police.
