Niagara Police say they have completed their ground searches for a missing Fort Erie woman and 66 year old Barbara Cowsill is still nowhere to be found. She was last seen leaving her Crystal Beach area home on Monday February 29th around 11am wearing a red coat and since then, police have been combing the Thunderbay Road and Young Avenue area, doing ground searches by foot and on ATVs. Shoreline searches by police have also not been able to locate Cowsill.
Concerns for Cowsill’s welfare have increased due to the ongoing cold weather and her pre-existing medical conditions and althought the NRPS are still trying to locate Cowsill, police say they will not be conducting any further ground searches for her and that their decision is based on current investigative information available to them.
Anyone with information that may lead to her current location are asked to contact the NRPS Fort Erie Detachment at 905-688-4111 Ext 2300.
