ORIGINAL REPORT: Since January of 2016, members of the St.Catharines Street Crime Unit commenced an investigation into a male from the Western Hill area, suspected of conducting drug transactions on foot as well as while operating a Cadillac in the City of St.Catharines.
As the investigation progressed police say they began observing suspected drug deals within a close proximity of an Elementary School and a High School during school time hours. On Wednesday February 10th 2016, police observed several suspected drug deals throughout the City of St.Catharines. At approximately 1:12 p.m., police arrested four parties on Vine Street South without incident. Police located a large quantity of Heroin, Crack Cocaine and Canadian currency on the arrested parties.
Arrested and charged was 24 year old Naquan BROWN of Brampton.

Police were granted judicial authorization to enter and search two residences in Western Hill. As a result of this investigation Police seized $17,300 worth of Crack Cocaine, Heroin, Oxycodone and $7350 in Canadian Currency. Police also seized a Cadillac CTS as a result of this investigation as offence related property. All parties have been held in custody pending a bail hearing on February 11th 2016.
**************UPDATE**************
Police say, on February 11th 2016, members of the St.Catharines Street Crime Unit were granted judicial authorization to search a Rykert Street complex residence. During the search of this unit police located a loaded prohibited firearm.
Further charges have been laid in relation to this investigation:
Naquan BROWN, Alton THOMPSON, Denmar GALLIMORE, Morgan KEAST and Stephanie VENUS have all been charged with:
– Possession of a Prohibited Firearm with Ammunition
– Tampering with a serial number
– Unsafe Storage of a firearm
These new charges will be laid at their next court appearance which is scheduled for February 12th 2016.
