Police say, since October of 2015, members of the St.Catharines Street Crime Unit have been conducting two separate drug investigations involving the sale of Heroin and Crack Cocaine in City of St.Catharines.

 
Throughout January and February of 2016, police began to monitor the movements of these suspected drug dealers. One of the residences under investigation was located in the Rockwood Avenue and Woodrow Street area in the City of St.Catharines. While the second residence was located in the Western Hill area of St.Catharines. On February 3rd 2016, police observed a suspected drug transaction between one of the individuals under investigation. Shortly after this transaction, at approximately 2:10 p.m., police conducted a traffic stop and arrested 36 year old Adrian ALLEYNE for Possession of a Controlled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking.

On February 3rd 2016, members of the St.Catharines Street Crime Unit with the assistance of the Welland Street Crime Unit and Guns, Gangs and Grow Unit arrested the second individual at approximately 2:38 p.m. Police were then granted judicial authorization to search two residences where they located further drugs, drug evidence and a large quantity of Canadian currency. At the first location Police Arrested and charged the following persons:

36 year old citizen of Barbados Adrian ALLEYNE

Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking
Possession of Proceeds of Crime Under $5000

At the second location

Police arrested two individuals and charged 28 year old St.Catharines resident Gino CAMILLERI

Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking
Possession of Proceeds of Crime Over $5000
Possession of a prohibited weapon x 2
Failure to comply with his recognizance x 2
Breach of his Conditional Sentence Order

And

27 year old St.Catharines resident Karleigh SMYTH

Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking
Possession of Proceeds of Crime Over $5000
Possession of a prohibited weapon x 2
As a result of both of these investigations, police seized a quantity of Heroin, Crack Cocaine and $8200 in Canadian currency.  During these investigations police also worked closely with the Canadian Border Service Agency Inland Enforcement Team.

All parties were held in custody pending their morning bail hearing.
