According to Environment Canada there is now a special weather statement in effect for:
- Niagara Falls – Welland – Southern Niagara Region
- St. Catharines – Grimsby – Northern Niagara Region
A low pressure system will track across Lake Huron Tuesday morning and into southern Quebec Tuesday night.
The system is expected to bring snowfall amounts in the range of 5 to 10 cm to southern Ontario Tuesday, with 10 to 15 cm of snow possible along the lakeshore regions of eastern Lake Ontario. The morning commute will likely be affected.
In addition, it is likely that strong wind gusts up to 70 km/h associated with a cold front may give local blowing snow and reduced visibility.
Motorists are advised to exercise caution as the roads may become hazardous at times.
