It’s almost Christmas day and most establishments will be closed, with holiday schedules also in effect for local services….. Let’s take a look:
LCBO and Beer Store outlets will be open until 6 p.m. on Christmas Eve and be closed on Christmas Day and Boxing Day.
There will be no mail delivery and main post offices will be closed both Friday and Monday.
Most major retailers will close early Christmas Eve. Some will reopen early on Boxing Day.
Banks will be closed Christmas Day and Boxing Day.

City of St. Catharines offices close Thursday at 2 p.m., reopen Dec. 29 and 30, close at 2 p.m. Dec. 31 and reopen Monday, Jan. 4. The farmers’ market is closed Boxing Day.
City of Niagara Falls offices are closed Thursday, reopen Dec. 29 and 30, close at 3 p.m. Dec. 31 and reopen Monday, Jan. 4.
City of Welland offices will be closed Friday until Monday, Jan. 4. The farmers’ market will be open Boxing Day, but not Jan. 2.
City of Port Colborne offices will close 3 p.m. Wednesday and reopen Monday, Jan. 4.
Town of Pelham offices close Thursday at noon, reopen Dec. 29 and 30, close at noon Dec. 31 and reopen Monday, Jan. 4.
Township of Wainfleet offices close 2 p.m. Wednesday and reopen Monday, Jan. 4.
City of Thorold offices are closed Thursday and reopen Monday, Jan. 4.
Town of Niagara-on-the-Lake offices close Thursday at noon and reopen Monday, Jan. 4.
Most Niagara Region offices and facilities will be closed on Dec. 24, 25, 28, 31 and Jan. 1.
TRANSIT
Welland Transit service ends at 6:45 p.m. on Christmas Eve. There will be no service Christmas or Boxing Day. St. Catharines Transit’s last outbound buses are at 8:45 p.m. Thursday and service is not running Friday but there will be holiday service on Boxing Day. Niagara Falls Transit has regular service Christmas Eve and holiday service on Christmas and Boxing Day.
