Police say on Friday November 27th, 2015, members of the Niagara Regional Police Service responded to a Robbery at Montrose Variety, located at 6555 Montrose Road in the City of Niagara Falls.
At approximately 8:00 pm, a lone male entered the variety store, brandished a knife & demanded that the store clerk surrender cash from the store register. Upon receiving an undisclosed sum of money, the suspect fled the scene & was last seen running from the store in a westerly direction. The victim in this matter was not injured as a result of the incident.
The suspect is described as follows:
Young male, 5’8″, skinny, wearing a grey hooded sweater, dark vest, blue jeans, dark coloured jacket &black running shoes with red mittens with white & black stripes.
Members of the Niagara Falls # 2 District Detective office continue to investigate the incident & are seeking the public assistance in identifying the suspect & potential witnesses.
