A cloudy day will not keep Santa away from Fort Erie and Welland today!
In Fort Erie the parade starts up at 12 pm. Route: Parade will begin at the Fort Erie Race Track, heading east on Catherine Street to Central Avenue, finishing along Jarvis St.
New this year, the Bridgeburg Historic District BIA is hosting an Elf Party for the kids starting at 11:45 and continuing after the parade, at Regional Limousine, 209 Jarvis St.
There will be free hot chocolate and popcorn , a kids corner hosted by the Fort Erie Arts Council and photo ops with the big guy in the red suit after the parade wraps.
Parking: People can park at the Fort Erie Racetrack and walk to Catherine Street and handicapped parking is available at the Central Fire Station on Central Avenue. Be there by 11:15 a.m., before the roads close.
Welland Santa Claus Parade
At 4 pm Santa will make his way to Welland!
Route: Parade will begin at Canadian Tire Financial Services (corner of Wellington and East Main streets) and head west on East Main to the Civic Square. There will be activities after and free hot chocolate, cookies, crafts for children and visits with Santa. Santa will help light the city’s Christmas tree at Civic Square. Bridge 13 will be lit in red and green on parade night. Canada Post will collect letters to Santa along the parade route, and the Mayor’s Youth Advisory Council will collect loose change donations for the Open Arms Mission.
