According to police, during the late evening hours of Thursday October 15, 2015 a lone male entered a convenience store located on Bridge Street in the City of Niagara Falls. The male demanded money from the cashier, and then fled on foot.
During the early afternoon the following day, on Friday October 16, 2015, this same male entered a convenience store located on St. Clair Avenue in the City of Niagara Falls. The male demanded money from the cashier and again fled the store.
A short time later, Niagara Regional Police #2 District Uniform officers responded to the original Bridge Street convenience store for a third robbery involving the same suspect. He then fled the scene on a bicycle and re-attended the St. Clair convenience store, also for a second time. He demanded cash once again, this time from a different clerk, before leaving the store on foot.
Members from the Niagara Regional Police Canine Unit, #2 District Uniform Branch and #2 District Criminal Investigations Branch located the suspect in downtown Niagara Falls a short time after this last robbery was reported.
Charged with ten robbery and weapons related offences including, Robbery, Possession of a loaded restricted firearm, and Using a disguise with intent, is Gary BORG-GRECH, a 29 year-old Niagara Falls resident.
