Enjoy the colour and the pageantry of one of North America’s foremost street parades! The Meridian Grande Parade hosts an outstanding procession of marching bands, drum corps, community groups, majorettes, floats and amazing performances, attracting upwards of 100,000 spectators to the streets of downtown St. Catharines each year. This year’s Grande Parade theme is “Harvest Street Party”.
Don’t forget to donate to the Community Care Annual Harvest Drive, collected during the Grande Parade. Last year you contributed over 8,000lbs of food to fill the shelves at our local food bank! #MeridianParade

The Montebello Park Experience
The hub of the Niagara Wine Festival can be found in historic Montebello Park in downtown St. Catharines. One of the oldest and most beautiful parks in the Niagara Region comes alive for two weekends in September. A celebration of Niagara and the bounty of harvest, the Montebello Park food and wine experience truly showcases all that the Region has to offer. Local chefs will provide regional cuisine from one to three tokens per portion, while VQA wines can be purchased by the sample or glass. Festival tokens can be purchased in $3.25 (HST included) denominations or in advance at the Festival office.
A true “Wine Country” experience awaits you!
The Centre Stage
Montebello Park is the premier setting for most of the Festival’s featured events including a great lineup of activities for the entire family. Experience 29 award-winning wineries, Niagara cuisine and great entertainment each weekend. Enjoy your favourite local bands and a lineup of tribute bands such as Hotel California and The Caverners.
Check out CCMA artists like Autumn Hill and Small Town Pistols who will take the stage alongside emerging New Country talent.
Today’s Lineup Includes:
Mel Monaco – 1:00pm
Mel Monaco, singer/songwriter, sets the lively mood with her unique brassy voice and hints of pop, rock and jazz. She and the band are ready to put on a show for Niagara!
Theatre Crisp – 3:15pm
Theatre Crisp is a six piece live hip hop/funk/rock band whose sound is defined through the band’s many influences. Sublime, Atmosphere, Hilltop Hoods, Bliss N Eso, Jack Johnson, Beastie Boys… there are too many artists to name that influence the style of this band. The strongest element stems from a hip hop background, delivering funky beats and conscious rap lyrics with soulfully sung choruses.
X Prime – 5:30pm
Musicianship reigns supreme among Xprime’s four multi-instrumentalist members. They’ve made a name and living for themselves by playing their original music and beloved classics all over Ontario and Quebec. Weaving their way through harmonies, fancy fretwork and beats with loop-de-loop roller coaster ease, it’s safe to say that the guys know their way around a well-written pop/rock song, and their new EP “Xprime PM” is a delicious sampling of just that.
Jonesy – 7:45pm
Jonesy is regarded as one of southern Ontario’s premiere pop/rock bands. Made up from five unique personalities from the Niagara region, these lads have been playing together collectively for over ten years. They credit their success and longevity due to “always keeping things fresh”. That’s why you’ll always hear the latest pop songs at a Jonesy show, mixed in with the classic ones you love from yesterday.
