Great weather and the chance to try some of the best craft beers around drew in huge crowds today at The Market at the Village in Niagara-‐on-‐the-‐Lake as folks grabbed their baby sized beer steins and red tokens for a day of fun and flavour!
The Niagara Craft Beer Festival features over 25 of Ontario’s best small batch craft brewers, cideries, food trucks and local restaurants. Here is the Niagara College tent serving them up. They are the first fully licensed teaching brewery in Canada.
Included in the mix of beverages were some incredible one offs, seasonal and limited addition beers and the food was a great addition to the mix! Here we have the popular Oyster Bar. Service with a smile!
Music added to the vibe and there was something for everyone. Here is band Cottage Brew entertaining the crowd with some classics…
Folks lounged around on picnic benches or walked around the main area enjoying the tunes and the day…
We loved the kilts on the team from Highlander Brew Company from South River Ontario…
Every tent had an awesome team that would explain the variety of beers available to make sure you got the best bang for your buck. Here is the dynamic duo from Brantford Ontario’s Bell City Brewing Company who had a delicious Belgian Ale…
These folks looked like they were having such a good time we had to find out where they were from…..turns out they were locals…..good times all the same!
The Niagara Craft Beer Festival was also offering $1 for every unused donated food or beverage token from the festival to the Red Roof Retreat (Red Roof Retreat provides quality respite and recreational programs for children, youth and young adults with special needs, and their families in the Niagara Region) which made all the fun even more worthwhile!
One thing is for sure…beer has come a long way in canada and it’s all good ! For more information: www.niagaracraftbeerfestival.ca or www.canadiancraftbeerfestivals.ca
