Police say just before 4:00 pm on Saturday August 15th, 2015, Police, Fire and Paramedics responded to a collision involving a motorcycle and a passenger vehicle at King St. and Mountainview Road in the Town of Lincoln.
The driver of the motorcycle sustained a serious leg injury. Citizens on the scene assisted by applying a tourniquet to the victim’s leg, which was bleeding heavily, and may have ultimately saved his life. The rider was subsequently transported to Hamilton General Hospital where subsequent assessment identified the victim’ injuries as serious but non life threatening.
The accident remains under investigation by members of the uniform branch at 8 District.
