According to police, on August 6, 2015 at 11:23pm uniform officers from the Niagara Falls Detachment of the Niagara Regional Police Service and Niagara Emergency Medical Services responded to Brookfield Avenue in Niagara Falls. Emergency crews were called after a report of a male had been stabbed.
Officers attended and located the injured 41 year old male victim in the street. He was treated at the scene by paramedics and transported to a local hospital. The victim was subsequently transported to an out of region hospital with life threatening injuries. The victim is presently in serious but stable condition.
Detectives from the Niagara Falls Criminal Investigation Branch and Forensic Services Unit attended the scene to conduct the investigation. It was determined that this was not a random act and the victim was known to his assailants.
As a result of the investigation the Niagara Regional Police Service will be seeking arrest warrants for three persons.
Wanted for Aggravated Assault contrary to sec 268 of the Criminal Code of Canada are:
1) Todd James TURNER, 86-SEPT-25 (Niagara Falls)
2) Gary Joseph DEGAZIO, 83-MAY-31 (Niagara Falls / Welland)
3) Melissa Ann SZPULAR, 94-DEC-20 (Niagara Falls / Guelph)
The present location of all three wanted persons is unknown. It is possible they have left the region, and are somewhere in south western Ontario.
Detectives have received information that they may be operating a 2007 Mazda M3H 4DR white, with Ontario Licence Plate – BSFR529.
If the public sees the three wanted persons or the white Mazda they are asked to not approach them and to call the police.
Anyone knowing the location of the three wanted persons or the white Mazda is asked to contact the police or Crimestoppers.
