Police say, in the early spring of 2015 the Niagara Regional Police Service began to receive information in regards to a male selling drugs in St. Catharines, Ontario. Members of the 3 District Street Crime Unit and the 1 District Street Crime Unit began a joint investigation into these allegations. The investigation led to a Controlled Drug and Substance Act search warrant being executed on a Manchester Avenue townhouse in St. Catharines, Ontario on July 30, 2015.
As a result of the investigation police seized approximately $16,000.00 in suspected cocaine, over $15,000.00 in Canadian and American currency, and approximately $180.00 in prescription pills.
Willem Bosman, a a 30 year old resident of St. Catharines, Ontario is charged with 2 counts of Possession of a Controlled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking, and Possession of Proceeds of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5,000.00. Bosman is being held in custody pending a bail hearing on Friday July 31, 2015 in St. Catharines, Ontario.
