Niagara-On-The-Lake was the scene last night that brought hundreds out all dressed in white for a little food, fun, entertainment and MAGIC!
The White Effect, an annual event that features picnic style eating in the great outdoors was held amongst the backdrop of the Niagara River and the historical Brock Monument in Queenston Heights Park last night and spirits were high despite the threat of showers (which never came until the very end)!
We captured some of the moments of an absolutely picture perfect night……
Top hats, feathers and bouquets of white flowers added a whimsical touch to this table…
Tables either brought their own meal or enjoyed catered picnics from Signature Kitchens. This was enjoyed with matching VQA wines from local wineries and local craft beer.
A great selection of music from the band kept everyone tapping their toes ….. tables were set up on the pavement between the lush greens and the Monument.
Each table brought their own centrepieces. From flowers to firehoses…there were a great variety including this stunning silver candelabra…..

As the night went on, the skies got dark but the sparklers shone bright….
The more sparklers that started being lit….the more smoke that filled the air….lots of fun had by all…

Then the dancing kicked into high gear for the folks that were ready to brave the grass …
And what better way to round off a delightful night than a stunning fireworks display…….
About 5 minutes after this shot, the first few sprinkles of rain fell from the sky. Perfect timing for a perfect party!
