According to police, on Thursday May 21st, 2015 at 7:15 PM, a lone male attended at the Avondale Gas Bar located at 431 Welland Avenue in the City of St. Catharines. The male, who was armed with a shot gun approached the gas bar attendant, brandished the gun and demanded money. The culprit obtained a small amount of cash and then fled on foot, heading north bound on Grantham Avenue and then west along Homewood Avenue.
No persons were injured during this incident.
A witness reported to police that the suspect entered a dark red or maroon coloured four door car that was parked on Homewood Avenue. The suspected entered the vehicle through the driver’s door and drove away turning south on Parkview Street.
The suspect is describe as a male white, approximately 180 to 210 pounds, stalky build wearing a black coloured zipped-up hooded sweat shirt, dark blue “washed-out” jeans, a black belt and white running shoes.
