Since March 2015 the Niagara Falls Street Crime Unit have been investigating a male trafficking drugs from a Niagara Falls residence.
On April 15th 2015, a search warrant was executed with the assistance of the NRP’s tactical unit. Within the residence a sawed off shotgun was recovered as well as ammunition, a quantity of cocaine and suspected MDMA. Street value of the drugs seized totaled $2600.
Arrested was 30 year old Ryan WILSON of Niagara Falls, according to police. WILSON stands charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking cocaine, possession for the purpose of trafficking MDMA, possession of a prohibited firearm, possession of a firearm with a tampered serial number, possession of a prohibited firearm with ammunition and careless storage of a firearm.
Senior investigator Detective Matt CATHERWOOD states that the Niagara Falls Street Crime Unit have seized 5 firearms since January 2015 from the hands of drug traffickers. Detective CATHERWOOD adds that “I personally would love to see every gun on the planet disappear”
Ryan WILSON will be held pending a bail hearing.
