According to police in April of 2015, Detectives from the Sexual Assault Unit commenced an investigation into a sexual assault allegation and as a result of the investigation, 41 year old Edmund Mulligan of Fort Erie, Ontario, was arrested and charged with the following:

Sexual Assault, contrary to Section 271 of the Criminal Code of Canada

Sexual Exploitation, contrary to Section 153 of the Criminal Code of Canada

Mulligan is currently being held in custody pending a bail hearing on April 15, 2015 at the Robert S.K. Welch Court House in St. Catharines
