In March 2015 the Niagara Regional Police Sexual Assault Unit began an investigation into an alleged historical Sexual Assault.
On April 1, 2015 as a result of the investigation, 65 year old Port Colborne resident Reginald William Shepherd has been charged with one count each of Sexual Assault, Sexual Interference and Invitation to Sexual Touching.
Shepherd is currently being held in custody pending a Bail Hearing on April 2, 2015 at the Robert S. K. Welch Court House in St. Catharines.
Police believe that there may be further victims who have not yet reported to police.

***UPDATE***
During the course of the initial investigation, further information was received regarding an additional child victim under the age of twelve years old.
As a result of further investigation, 65 year old Port Colborne resident Reginald Shepherd is facing additional charges of Sexual Assault and Sexual Inteference. Shepherd was held in custody and scheduled for a bail hearing on Friday April 10th at the Robert S.K. Welch Court House in St. Catharines.
Police believe that there may be further victims who have not yet reported to police.
