In March 2015, Detectives from the Child Abuse Unit commenced an investigation into a sexual assault allegation which stemmed from an incident that occurred in St. Catharines between November 1st, 2014 and December 25, 2014.
Police say as a result of the investigation, 22 year old Cory Brandon DALE of St. Catharines, Ontario, was arrested and is charged with the following:
Sexual Assault, contrary to Section 271 of the Criminal Code of Canada
Sexual Interference, contrary to Section 151 of the Criminal Code of Canada
Expose Genitals to a Minor, contrary to Section 173(2) of the Criminal Code of Canada
The alleged offences were committed while the accused, Cory Brandon DALE, was considered to be in a position of trust or authority over the victim, who is a child under the age of 16 years.
No further information will be released by the Niagara Regional Police Service in order to protect the identity of the victim.
