In February 2015, the Niagara Regional Police Sexual Assault Unit entered into an investigation of an alleged Sexual Assault which had occurred in the Niagara Region.
On Wednesday February 25th 2015, Police say 49 year old Peter Stapleton of Fort Erie was arrested and charged with two counts of Sexual Assault and one count of Forcible Confinement on an adult male victim. The accused and victim were known to each other.
Stapleton was held in custody pending a bail hearing scheduled for Friday February 27th 2015 at the Robert SK Welch Court House in St. Catharines.
