On February 9, 2015 between 6:45 pm and 7:15 pm the Niagara Regional Police Service arrested three men in St. Catharines for impaired operation of a motor vehicle.
Police say at 6:53 pm after a collision at the intersection Ontario Street and the QEW on ramp in St. Catharines, a 53 year old man from Niagara Falls was arrested. He was charged under the Criminal Code of Canada for:
-Failing to stop at a collision scene
-Impaired operation of a motor vehicle
-Operating a motor vehicle with a blood alcohol over .08
Damage to both cars is believed to be over $5000 and neither driver was injured.
At 7:02 pm following a collision at the intersection of Scott Street and Geneva Street in St. Catharines, a 73 year old man from St. Catharines was arrested. He was charged under the Criminal Code of Canada for:
-Operating a motor vehicle with a blood alcohol over .08
Damage to both vehicles is believed to be over $15000. Neither driver was injured.
At 7:13PM after a collision at the intersection of Lake Street and Arran Drive in St. Catharines, a 44 year old man from St. Catharines was arrested. He was charged under the Criminal Code of Canada for:
-Impaired Operation of a Motor Vehicle
-Refuse Bodily Substance Demand
-Drive While Disqualified
Damage to both cars is believed to be over $1000 with no injuries.
The public is requested to call the police anytime they suspect an impaired driver.
