On Thursday January 1, 2015 just after 12 pm, members of the Niagara Regional Police Service along with Niagara Emergency Medical Services responded to the area of Lakeshore Road, west of Read Road in the City of St. Catharines for reports of a deceased male having been found.
Police say upon arrival, the body of a deceased male was found in a ditch along the North Side of the roadway (Map of area pictured below).
The male has now been identified as 50 year old, St. Catharines resident, Vlado Rukavina. The circumstances leading up to the discovery of the deceased continue to be investigated by members of the 1 District Detective Office. Anyone having had contact with Rukavina in the days prior to his death are encouraged to contact Detectives of the Niagara Regional Police Service at 905 688-4111 extension #4385.
