According to police, on Tuesday December 30th, 2014, members of the Niagara Regional Police – Special Enforcement Unit were in Niagara Falls conducting targeted enforcement relating to Distracted Driving.
During a period of 4 hours police monitored both east and west directions on Lundy Lane near Carlton Street. 7 Provincial Offence Notices were issued to motorists who were observed texting or talking on their cell phone while operating a motor vehicle.
The Niagara Regional Police remain committed to ensuring the safety of those while on the roads of the Niagara region.
