On Friday, December 5th, 2014 RIDE was conducted in Pelham. Officers concentrated their efforts on the Regional Road 20 area and checked approximately 400 vehicles.
Of those vehicles checked 30 drivers were required to provide breath samples into a roadside screen device which resulted in one driver being arrested for over 80mg and a second driver losing his licence for 3 days.
Another driver entering the RIDE was charged with driving while his licence was suspended. An additional 7 Provincial Offence notices were also issued.
RIDE will continue to be out throughout the holiday season. Please plan ahead, don’t drink and drive and have a safe holiday season.
