For all you Timmies coffee lovers out there…expect to part with a bit more coin for that cup of morning joe starting next Wednesday. Prices will vary across Canada, but the increase (10 cents on average) is said to reflect the rising cost of operational costs including coffee beans.
Last month, the price of Arabica beans jumped to a two-and-a-half year high when weather forecasts showed that next year’s crop could be compromised. Some other other major coffee chains like Starbucks have already upped their prices.
Also up across the country (except Ontario) will be the cost of breakfast sandwiches by 10 cents with Tim Horton’s citing an increase in meat prices as well.
Bottom Line: More money for your morning fix….but we have a hunch it’s going to take more than 10 cents to keep the masses away from Tim Hortons!
