According to police, on Friday, November 14, 2014 at approximately 8:00 am members of the Niagara Regional Police Service as well the Fort Erie Fire Department responded to an address on Sunset Drive in the Town of Fort Erie for reports of a fire.
On arrival a single residential home was found fully engulfed in flames. Two occupants of the home were inside but had escaped the residence without incident. No persons were injured as a result of the fire.
The cause of the fire is not yet known. Estimated damage is approximately $250,000.
Police and Fire personnel remain at the scene while an investigation takes place
