Police say on Saturday, November 08, 2014, at approximately 2:33am, the Township of Wainfleet Fire Department, along with Niagara Regional Police and EMS responded to a residential structure fire at 10584 Woodland Dr., Township of Wainfleet.
The lone male occupant of the home was awakened by the fire, and escaped the home without injury.
Firefighters were able to extinguish the fire, which caused considerable damage inside the home which is estimated at $50,000.
The source of the fire was not immediately determined, but not deemed to be suspicious.
